Houses

Residential HVAC service for whatever is already in the basement.

Luxaire, Bryant, Goodman, Carrier, Rheem, or something else entirely. Emergency calls answered 24 hours.

Chapter 01

Most DeKalb basements already run a Luxaire, a Bryant, a Goodman, a Carrier, or a Rheem, and we work on all of them.

Walk into most houses in DeKalb and the furnace is already one of those five brands, whichever one happened to be on the truck the year the last unit gave out or the house was built. We work on all of them, including whatever combination of equipment is already sitting in your utility room or basement.

That matters most on the service call, not the sales call. A technician who has only ever touched one manufacturer's control board and sequence of operation spends the first twenty minutes learning your furnace before they can start diagnosing it. Ours don't, because the next call is just as likely to be a different brand entirely.

A furnace that quits at 2am gets the same shop that answers the phone at 2pm.

The office is open Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Emergency service is answered 24 hours a day, every day, and it is printed on the trucks for a reason: a furnace that fails on a Friday night in January is not a problem that waits for Monday.

A 2am call gets a technician dispatched from DeKalb Mechanical, not a call center reading a script or a subcontractor we have never worked with before. Same company, same shop on Wurlitzer Drive, same trucks that are already out across DeKalb County every day.

Chapter 03

Paying for it: financing with approved credit, plus two rebate programs that are not ours.

A new system is a real cost, and there is more than one way to spread it. DeKalb Mechanical offers financing with approved credit through Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., with an online application. On a remodel, new construction, or a retrofit, we will also work directly with your own local bank on the quote instead of routing everyone through the same lender.

On top of financing, there are two utility programs worth checking before you sign anything: Nicor Gas runs residential customer rebates on qualifying energy-efficiency upgrades, and ComEd runs its Smart Ideas Energy Efficiency Program. Both are the utilities' own programs, not a DeKalb Mechanical discount, so eligibility and any amount are set by Nicor and ComEd, not by us.
