Since 1991, out of one building on Wurlitzer Drive: commercial and residential heating and cooling, commercial refrigeration, and a fabrication shop that turns flat galvanized stock into finished duct. Emergency service answered 24 hours.

Most mechanical contractors order their ductwork in and wait for it. We walk it down the length of our own shop, which is why a change on site is a phone call to the bench rather than a lead time.

A Thermaduct unit stencilled DEKALB MECH, on its cart and ready to leave. The same bench builds for other mechanical contractors: built by contractors, for contractors.

Onto the truck
Commercial rooftops, DeKalb basements, walk-in coolers behind a kitchen. Office hours are seven to four, and the emergency line is answered around the clock.

Reading against the data plate
Rated load amps are printed on the unit. A clamp on the common leg, measured under real load rather than at start-up, is the number every later visit is compared against.

What creeping current means
Current drifting upward is work the compressor should not be doing: a dirty condenser, a restricted filter drier, low charge, or valves that are no longer sealing. Each has a different fix and a different cost.

The decision point
This is where a planned replacement is still cheaper than an unplanned one, and where the conversation is a quote rather than an emergency. On a walk-in cooler it is also the difference between a service call and a lost load of stock.

Our fabrication shop supplies other mechanical contractors as well as our own installations. The team has worked the field, so a product leaves the bench in a state that makes the install easier and the project run smoother.
Bid documents for commercial and institutional work are handled through the office rather than a download, so you get the drawings and a person who knows the job.

Yes. The office is open Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and emergency service is answered 24 hours a day. It is printed on the trucks for a reason: a walk-in cooler or a commercial rooftop unit that fails on a Friday night is not a Monday problem.

Yes, as preventative maintenance agreements. A PMA reduces mechanical failures and keeps the system running efficiently, which buys better equipment longevity, lower repair costs and uninterrupted service for the business. It is built around the building rather than sold as a fixed package.
